Would you dare to go GREY? Lately, quite a number of women the world over have embraced a new ‘grey’ / ‘granny hair’ trend, happily posting silver toned selfies on Instagram... after mature models walked the catwalks with undyed locks.

There was a time (yesterday), when women would spend hours dyeing grays or finding ways eradicating them, but this latest trend is good news for women everywhere.

Grey hair is on trend with silver hair lovers the world over posting images on social media under the hashtag #grannyhair.

For the younger granny trend followers, going grey takes serious effort in the beauty department, spending quite a bit of money on hair dying regimes.

Rachel Dolezal – Black or White?

Ever since she was a teen, Rachel Dolezal is said to have professed an affinity for black people. She has black siblings (her parents adopted four black kids), she chose a college where she could immerse herself in racial issues, and she married a black man and built a reputation as an advocate for civil rights.

Rachel A. Dolezal a university instructor in African-American Studies at Eastern and the current president of her local National Association for the Advancement of colored People (N.A.A.C.P.) in a rare twist has suddenly turned into a subject of national debate. As a University instructor in African-American studies, Mrs. Dolezal has claimed for years that her heritage is partly black, but her parents say that this is a not true.

This has caused quite a stir on social media websites, with a new hashtag  #RachelDolezal  being added to quite a number of twitter and instagram posts like the ones seen below:

Do you think that this situation is being blown out of proportion? I think that if she lied about being black, I would like to know the reasons why.

We at ღ Pretty Impression ღ  pay tribute to 18 year old Kyemah McEntyre, an exceptionally beautiful New Jersey teen who has become an overnight internet sensation after she posted a series of images of herself wearing a stunning floor length prom dress that she herself designed,  along with a message about how she learned to overcome the cruel taunts of school bullies.   

Kyemah shared several images of herself at her school prom on Instagram and Twitter earlier this month, while also revealing that she had earned the coveted title of Prom Queen. 

She went on to speak out against those who try to bring other people down with negative words and harsh insults, while urging her followers to embrace their individuality and their creativity. 

'As an artist I have a completely different point of view compared to most individuals. I am extremely analytical and observant,' she explained. 'Throughout the world, we have people who do not notice each other’s essence and humanity. 

'We stunt our collective spiritual growth by allowing assumptions and stereotypes to cloud our mind and thus our physical reality. We let these negative ideas get the best of us, and in turn a world of isolation is manifested by our lack of sensitivity and desire to sympathize with each other. 

'This results in a world in which people live within the confines of their own space, isolated from each other and separated from the rest of the world.

'Sometimes we get trapped in our own prejudice ways. We don't notice how the idea of a particular type of person changes the way we live our lives.' 

We salute you for your bravery, courage and strength which you used to overcome and show the world how talented you are, and that the opinions of other isn’t a reflection of you. Plus the dress is absolutely Gorgeous!
